Two parameters are important when classifying fuel marine fuel, residual fuel oil (RFO) and heavy fuel oil (HFO): viscosity and density. For this double measurement, Anton Paar provides the SVM 3000 viscometer with a heated sample changer.

The Xsample 360H or 460H sample changer heats and melts samples before filling them into the viscometer. This combination is a fully automatic solution for samples with melting points up to 80 °C. SVM 3000 with the heated sample changer provides: Small sample and solvent consumption, Compact, suitable for mobile labs and ships, Simultaneous measurement of viscosity and density including calculation of API degrees and Electrical heating, no thermal transfer liquids, very low power consumption
