Anton Paar has launched a new magnetic particle trap (MPT) for in-service oil condition monitoring (OCM).

The MPT can be used with Anton Paar’s SVM 1001, 2001, 3001, 4001, and a special version, which is compatible with Xsample 530 or 630 is available for fully automated OCM. The MPT removes ferromagnetic particles before the samples reach the SVM measuring cells, enabling operators to obtain precise used oil analysis results. The device is mounted directly on the instrument, saving valuable laboratory bench space, and its electrical heating reduces sample viscosity to optimise filtration efficiency.
