The PMA 500, PMA 300, and CLA 5, from Anton Paar, offer the perfect solution for lube oil flash and fire point testing for lubricants, which are critical measurement parameters for product specification and safety during usage, storage, and transportation.
Anton Paar’s PMA 500 Pensky-Martens flash point tester is ideal for end users with a high sample throughput. The instrument’s cooling speed after measurement can be as much as 20 % faster in comparison with other instruments available to the oil conditioning market, which is especially advantageous for samples, such as lubrication oils, with high flash point temperatures. The PMA 500 and the PMA 300 both feature a patented, award-winning new electric igniter system, and enjoy a lifespan that lasts over ten times longer than conventional instruments but still costs less. Both devices are easy to clean, which is very important for lubes, they also feature an automated measurement head, a smartphone-like UI,, and a fire extinguisher with a fail-safe detector system. A status light that indicated the status of the measurement from a distance is included on the PMA 500.
The CLA 5 Cleveland flash point tester offers the ideal solution for flash and fire point testing of lubricating oils. This highly user-friendly instrument delivers precise results and is easy to clean. The CLA 5 was designed with an emphasis on safety – and includes over-heat protection and a fire-dampening system. This device is also suitable for monitoring silicone oils and products containing silicone.
