Sulphur analysis

The PAC Antek 6200 total Sulphur and total Nitrogen process analyser can utilise 100% air as the combustion and carrier gas. In cases where refineries want to follow the ASTM method, measure nitrogen, or measure sulphur at less than 2 ppm, the 6200 offers oxygen as the combustion gas. Whether you use air or oxygen, the 6200 still provides the same reliable and accurate results as previous generations.
With the current ULSD regulations and the impending gasoline regulations that will require gasoline to meet an annual average standard of 10 parts per million (ppm) of sulphur (expected January 1, 2017), refineries need to continuously monitor the amount of sulphur in their products to keep as close to the specification as possible while reducing the costs to produce their final products. The 6200 enables refineries to make real-time decisions to optimise their process by:
* Providing precise results for Total Sulphur, Total Nitrogen, or both in gas, liquid, and LPG products, including heavy gas/oil products
* Correlating to ASTM D4629 and D5453 with a robust process instrument
* Determining the analysis quickly, in as little as 2 minutes per stream, and responding quickly to process changes
* Controlling maintenance costs with a new pyrotube design that extends preventative maintenance efforts
