Danger often arises when using gases such as oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in medical and food and beverage applications. The problems these gases present are well known when ensuring safety in your working environment.

Teledyne Gas and Flame Detection have recently launched the new ‘Easy Duo’ detector and controller combo. This cost-effective package provides Teledyne’s latest innovative controller, the MX 16, with the renowned OLCT 10N gas detector to ensure a complete gas detection solution that has been designed with ease of use and installation in mind.

Designed for simple installations requiring only one detection channel, it can respond to multiple applications. For example, monitoring for the lack of oxygen risk in medical laboratories, etc. Another case in point is from fermentation to distribution chains, carbon dioxide is one of the most dangerous gases encountered - for example in breweries, cellars: COâ‚‚ being heavier than air, it tends to take the place of oxygen, thus leading to a risk of anoxia.

Easy Duo is currently offered as a complete package including controller, gas detector and cable. This user-friendly device is easy to operate, install and configure, features a digital controller with a single channel for an individual gas detector, integrated relays and is available in a 4-20mA version with an RS 485 Modbus option.
