Gas detector
Biowanze, a biofuel producer based in Belgium, has worked with DALEMANS for more than fifteen years, during which DALEMANS has supplied equipment for eight gas detection systems and maintained eleven complete installations since 2009.
In 2021, BIOWANZE began planning a new biomass steam boiler and a pellet silo and asked the DALEMANS Industry team to specify gas detection for the new buildings.

The team carried out a site visit to the construction area and used the building plans to complete a needs analysis and a workflow study for the future production building, said François Spadazzi, sales engineer at DALEMANS, "We carried out an on-site visit to the construction area, but we also worked from the plans to perform a needs analysis and a workflow study for the future production building."

Based on this work, the team determined the number of gas detection systems required to protect workers and infrastructure. The relevant gases — methane and carbon dioxide — informed a recommendation covering detector and control panel selection suited to the site's specific conditions and applicable standards.
Spadazzi said, "Over the coming months, we will supervise the electricians' work regarding equipment positioning and cable types."
Once construction is complete, DALEMANS will carry out commissioning checks before providing an as-built file and a customised maintenance plan.
