Versatility and Dependability in Sulfur and Nitrogen Analysis
Jun 18 2014
Antek by PAC has provided dependable elemental analysis for over 40 years. It pioneered total sulfur, total nitrogen, and halides analysis utilising ion chromatography, pyro-fluorescence and pyro-chemiluminescence technology. Its latest innovation, the Antek MultiTek, was the first instrument on the market to combine total sulfur, total nitrogen, and halides analysis in a single solution.
The MultiTek’s ground-breaking technology provides:
- Precise data to enable decision making;
- Reduced user intervention due to automated operation;
- High versatility with a wide variety of applications in the Refining and Petrochemical industries including, Nitrogen in liquid aromatics, Sulfur in gasoline, and Sulfur in LPG; and
- Compliance to Petrochemical and Refinery standards, including ASTM D4629, ASTM D7184, ASTM, D6667, ASTM D6069, ASTM D7183, ASTM D5453, EN 20846, and UOP 936.
Please go to the MultiTek page on the PAC website to see a list of all the applications. Below describes a subset of the petrochemical and refinery applications available.
Petrochemical Applications
In a petrochemical plant, there are numerous important analyses, including:
- Measuring total halogens and total sulfur content (F/Cl/Br/S) in liquefied petroleum gases (LPGs); and
- Determining trace nitrogen in naphtha.
With the Antek MultiTek, users are able to achieve sensitive, automated, and reliable analysis of sulfur, nitrogen, and halides in LPG and also determine very low levels of nitrogen in naphthas via standard addition and combustion chemiluminescence analysis. Both applications can help improve plant efficiency. Click here to watch the webinar and learn more about these applications.
Refinery Applications
The MultiTek also performs several refinery applications. Two of its most important applications for the refining industry include Chloride in Naphtha and Total Sulfur in Gasoline. To learn more about the applications, click here to watch the PAC webinar. The webinar on these applications cover:
- General uses for each application and why they are important;
- How to configure MultiTek for each application; and
- The overall benefit of using MultiTek for each application.
