In this year that is about to end, Petroleum Analyser Company has achieved some important milestones. We have launched new products, our test methods have been officially accepted, and we have attended the most important conferences in our industry. Here are some of our achievements this year::

  • CID 510 was Officially Approved for ASTM Diesel Specs and Accepted under EN 16715
Three new revisions of the diesel fuel specifications D975, D6751 and D7467 were published by ASTM for our CID 510. CEN has published the Derived Cetane Number method EN 16715 which is based on PAC’s CID 510. All CEN member states will have adopted it on a national level by February 2016.
  • MPP Listed on Fuel Specs
Mini Cloud & Pour Point (MPP) analyser’s test methods are listed as alternate methods in ASTM Fuel Specifications.
  • OptiFlash Now Offers Tag & Abel Methods
The Tag & Abel methods are the latest additions to PAC’s OptiFlash. Our new analyzers can accurately detect flashpoints from -30°C to 120°C for petroleum products, solvents, chemicals, alcohols, foods and beverages. OptiFlash is fully compliant with leading global standards ASTM D56 and ISO 13736.

We participated in the leading conferences around the world, the most important ones being:

  • PEFTEC
    Antwerp, Belgium - November 18 - 19
PAC and its partner Optimus Instruments in Belgium shared a stand at the show which proved to be a crowd pleaser. PAC’s Rob de Jong, Product Manager Chromatography & Elemental Analysis, presented his paper on 'Flow-modulated GCxGC Solutions for Hydrocarbon Group-type Analysis of Diesel and Jet Fuels' including a detailed speciation of FAME compounds.
  • FAME & EI Test Conference
    Teddington, Middlesex, United Kingdom - November 3 - 4
The EI committee agreed to the ILS research report protocol for our new OptiReader. This report was presented to ASTM earlier this year and got ballot approved. OptiReader’s design and friendly user interface received great feedback from potential customers.
  • Gulf Coast Conference
    Houston, Texas USA - October 20 - 21
GCC took place this past October at the NRG Centre in Houston for the first time. Our new OptiReader, which is not officially launched yet, came in second in the New Product Showcase Competition.
  • International Symposium on Stability, Handling and Use of Liquid Fuels
    Charleston, South Carolina USA - October 4 - 8
  • ASTM DO2 Meeting
    Ft. Lauderdale, FL USA - June 21 - 25
  • National Biodiesel Conference
    Dallas, TX USA - January 19 - 22

In 2016 we will continue to confirm that we are indeed the leading global manufacturer of advanced analytical instruments. Happy New Year.
