Two temperature-programmed analyses, one integrated GC workflow

10 Aug, 2026

For laboratories facing increasing demands for complex gas chromatography (GC) analyses, Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions has introduced the Secondary Oven. Combining this oven with an Agilent 8890 GC provides a practical way to perform two independent temperature-programmed analyses within a single workflow.

Many analytical methods require multiple GC analyses with different temperature programs to achieve complete product characterisation. Traditionally, this involves additional GC instrumentation, software licences and complex data integration.

The fully temperature-programmable Secondary Oven overcomes these limitations by enabling dual GC analysis within one integrated platform. Users can manage the Secondary Oven settings, inlets and detectors directly through the GC, while data from both analyses are automatically combined into a single file.

The Secondary Oven from Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions helps laboratories expand analytical capabilities, improve data integrity, increase throughput and eliminate the need for a second GC system.
