The Anton Paar (Austria) Penetrometer PNR 12 is widely used in the field of research, engineering and production control in various sectors of industry. A variety of test kits with accessories according to international standards is available and allows the quick change from method and sample – from cone to needle – from grease to bitumen.

PNR 12 allows fully automatic measurements on electrically conductive samples, as well as on non-conductive samples with the optional patented Force-Sensor-Plunger. This option allows you to detect the surface of bitumen samples even underneath a layer of water, starts the standardised test sequence and reports the results automatically.
