To improve process performance as well as product quality and availability in the downstream industry, the integration of process instrumentation for the 24/7 monitoring of production and transport facilities is absolutely essential. Anton Paar (Austria) provides reliable and highly accurate process measurement solutions for the cost-saving and time-efficient production of petroleum end products.

Anton Paars’ L-Dens 417 density sensor is easy to integrate, maintenance free and guarantees product detection within seconds in order to reduce production loss to a minimum. In combination with a long run time and the possibility for inline installations, the L-Dens is perfectly suited for a large number of applications in the petroleum industry – the detection of product changes in multi-product pipelines, safety measures at loading stations or any custody transfer application. Based on the measurement of density differences, the single products are perfectly distinguished and contaminations are immediately detected. With an accuracy of 1x10-4 g/cm³, the L-Dens provides the highest accuracy available on the market and is equipped with various special features to meet the specific requirements of the petroleum industry.

Certificates for the approval of custody transfer applications, necessary approvals for hazardous areas worldwide (ATEX, GOST, IECEx, Class 1 Div 1 for US and Canada), perfectly tailored material properties of wetted parts, a compact design, easy system integration in customers’ processes and several adapters in different materials and standards (DIN, ANSI,…) are provided for a successful application of the L-Dens in downstream processes.
