New Low Cost, Type 1, Sound & Vibration Analyser

Jan 10 2008

SVANTEK (Poland) announces the introduction of the SVAN 957 low cost sound & vibration analyser with time domain signal recording option. Instrument is dedicated to general acoustic and vibration measurements, environmental monitoring, occupational health and safety monitoring. SVAN 957 instrument has exceptional logging capability – supports time history or time domain signal recording. In connection with the external USB memory stick, system provides almost unlimited logging capacity. The SVAN 957 instrument can be provided with the acoustic dose meter function and dedicated SV 25 dose meter microphone. Three acoustic profiles allow parallel measurements with independently defined filters and RMS detector time constants. Using the computational power of its digital signal processor the SVAN 957 instrument can perform, simultaneously to the meter mode, real time 1/1 octave or 1/3 octave (option) analysis including statistical calculations. The FFT analysis and reverberation time measurements function are also available.

The External I/O interface with advanced alarm function makes this instrument very suitable for sound monitoring application, especially when indication of the exceeding dangerous noise level is required (discothèque, car racing or other public events monitoring). Instrument is powered by four alkaline or NiMH rechargeable AA size batteries. SVAN 957 can be also powered from the USB interface or External DC source. Robust case and lightweight design accomplishe the exceptional features of this instrument. Instrument is offered also with SV 211 short period monitoring station which supports remote control by GPRS modems and environmental weather monitoring.
