ATEX Specialists Recognised As Leading IEC 61508 Service Provider

Sira (UK), a the leading Notified Body for ATEX approval of hazardous area equipment, has been selected as the sole suppler of IEC 61508/11 training schemes at the prestigious HazardEx 08 event in Peterborough, UK.
Sira, who are IET endorsed and a personnel competence assessor, will be presenting two training sessions during the February event, including a beginners guide to the standard, with information and techniques about how to apply functional safety strategies for both safety and commercial gains.
The training seminars are free of charge and complement Sira’s range of UKAS and CASS Accredited services, which include product and company certification to the functional safety standard. Functional safety is aimed at manufacturers, end-users and systems integrators wanting to achieve a high level of safety, whilst at the same time reaping the commercial benefits of adopting such strategies.
