The Mobile Computer MC75Aex-NI is a 3.5G Worldwide Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) device and has been modified by Bartec (Germany) especially for use in the hazardous area of UL Classes I, II and III Division 2. Now the extensive communication options which are a standard in the non-hazardous area are also available in the hazardous area.

Due to its ergonomic design and its easy use, it is perfectly suitable for achieving quick data availability in business processes. For manual data acquisition, a keyboard in several versions is available. Further options for data acquisition are provided by the integrated 1D or 1D/2D scan engine for the acquisition of barcodes. Optionally available is a 3.2 megapixel camera.

The ergonomically mounted scan triggers at the MC75Aex-NI allow to easily acquire data by single-hand control. For data communication with other systems and departments, several technologies are available: Wireless WAN (WWAN), Wireless LAN (WLAN), Wireless PAN (WPAN) (Bluetooth) and IrDA connection

These modules integrated in the device guarantee a seamless voice and data transmission and an easy integration into the company intranet. Further advantages are its robust construction, an easy-to-read 3.5’’ VGA color display with touch technology and a high-performance lithium-ion battery. Within the MC75Aex-NI, a Marvell PXA320 processor with 806 MHz guarantees a fast processing, while the operating system Windows Mobile 6.5 from Microsoft in connection with the Enterprise Mobility Developer Kits (EMDK) from Motorola allow an easy application development.

The device has an integrated memory of 256 MB RAM with 1GB of flash memory for the storage of user-defined applications and data. For larger applications and data quantities, Bartec offers Micro SD memory cards.
