The Bartec (Germany) Agile X industrial tablet PC is the world’s thinnest purpose-built UL Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2 device for enterprise use in rugged environments. Workers in the field increasingly need access to corporate information and systems. Wireless LAN and optional LTE modules on the Agile X provide real-time data transfer and uninterrupted connectivity that field workers need to bring their office to the Ex area. In addition to the integrated barcode scanner, the tablet PC also features a rear-side expansion slot, allowing the tablet to be extended with further data capture options such as a RFID reader.

The tablet PC leverages the full power of Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro containing added security features such as device lockdown and embedded activation that allows for one product key to be used on multiple devices. The office dock creates a seamless transition from the office to the field. Agile X supports Computrace theft protection, so if the device is stolen, it can be tracked and returned.

The military-spec rugged mobile device withstands shock, vibration and 4-foot drops. It can be operated in a wide temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C, allowing the tablet to be used in the toughest of industrial environments. With IP65 rating, the device is dust tight, and can withstand water jets against the device enclosure. The huge 10.1” high-resolution display provides perfect viewing for all daylight conditions bringing alive presentations, schematics and applications.
