BARTEC BENKE’s cooling systems are a milestone for achieving accurate measurement results from process analysers and measurement systems.

Plant operators in potentially explosive atmospheres benefit hugely from BARTEC BENKE’s expertise in cooling systems and air conditioning units for shelters, containers or cabinets with an installed analyser or measurement system. By providing reliable and constant ambient temperatures in housings and/or the precise temperature regulation of liquid samples, BARTEC BENKE ensures that the installed systems comply with predefined specifications. Their long-term experience provides operators the optimum solution for three different applications.

BARTEC BENKE’s Ex-Compact Air Conditioning Unit, which is suitable among others for Ex-p applications, is a protective cabinet used for sensitive measurement systems that are installed outdoors and exposed to volatile ambient temperatures (day/night; summer/winter). Wide temperature fluctuations can have a significant impact on the performance of installed systems. Additionally, the systems’ heat loss affects the indoor temperature. The Compact Air Conditioning unit with its 2 KW or 4 KW cooling capacity offers the best solution for operators, who are installing or planning to install electrical measurement and control equipment, analyser systems in cabinets or small containers. Also interior temperatures can be regulated safely and reliably. The compact air conditioning unit is intended mounting on a flat side panel and is also suitable for subsequent installation.

The variable quality and availability of plant cooling water is a challenge for many operators to ensure a permanent supply of good quality cooling water along with a constant sample temperature for analysers and their shelters. The use of BARTEC BENKE’s compact Closed Loop Chiller, with a cooling capacity of up to 60KW, ensures that the sample temperature is the same as the operator’s specification, as it is cooled by the secondary cooling circuit.

The interior temperature in analyser shelters is affected by the ambient temperatures as well as by heat loss from the installed analyser and measurement systems. BARTEC BENKE manufactures each of their Ex-Air Conditioning Units according to the customer’s requirements to ensure safe operation of the installed systems according to the applicable standards for safety in analyser shelters. The units have a cooling capacity of up to 60 KW and can have additional components and upgrades added throughout their operational lifespan. These requirements usually include the actual size and make, as well as type of insulation of the shelter, heat loss of the installed systems, existing ambient temperature, the required interior temperature and the hourly rate of fresh air exchange.

If you are looking for a particular solution, BARTEC BENKE also implement large-scale projects with tailor-made, complete solutions, including integration into existing processes and all from one source. Depending on stipulations, such complete solutions can include the actual analysers - whether it is a BARTEC BENKE model or another manufacturer’s, sample conditioning and fast loop systems, recovery tanks, cooling and air-conditioning units and analyser housings or cabinets.
