ATEX Performance Certification awarded to single gas monitor

Industrial Scientific has attained ATEX Performance Certification for its Ventis® Pro5 personal gas monitor. The Ventis Pro5 is an exceptionally flexible connected gas monitor, providing operators with the ability to protect workers from as many as five gases, while overseeing personnel safety from remote locations, automatically sharing real-time gas data and alarms, and simplifying team communication to eliminate the guesswork from gas detection and safety.

Industrial plants can now operate with rest-assured safety, reliability, and compliance for their personnel working in locations with potentially explosive atmospheres, secure in the knowledge that the Ventis Pro 5 has conformed to the stringent criteria necessary to achieve ATEX approval.

This highly dependable detector will now be listed as an approved device by the BGRCI in Germany, adding the device to a list of gas detectors recommended for use in German industrial facilities. Only a select few gas detectors have gained ATEX performance certification; this approval provides end users with the assurance that the instrument can operate in the harshest and most hazardous environments, while providing precise measurement and protection for workers at the plant.
