ASTM Award of Excellence Awarded for the Second Time

Dr. Raj Shah, currently Director at Koehler instrument Company (USA) was recently conferred with ASTM Award of Excellence. Dr. Shah received this award at the December 2012 ASTM meeting from ASTM chairman Mr. Randy Jennings .

Dr. Shah is one of the very few recipients who has received this award twice from ASTM Committee D02 on petroleum products and lubricants. This latest award was given to Dr. Shah in recognition of his many years of dedicated contributions and outstanding service to subcommittee on Oxidation of lubricants. His previous award of excellence was conferred by subcommittee D02.12 on Environmental Standards for Lubricants.

Dr. Shah is currently the Director of Sales, Marketing and Technical Services at Koehler instrument Company, a New York based manufacturer of petroleum and petrochemical laboratory testing instruments. Koehler instrument company, which manufacturers over a 100 different instruments at its head quarters in Bohemia, NY and has been in business over 80 years providing quality testing instrumentation complying with all international standards.

ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), is a globally recognised specialist in the development and delivery of international voluntary consensus standards. Today, some 12,000 ASTM standards are used around the world to improve product quality, enhance safety, facilitate market access and trade, and build consumer confidence.

Dr. Shah has been active at ASTM for the last 18 plus years and has held various leadership positions in different ASTM D02 ( petroleum, petrochemical and alternative fuels related ) subcommittees over the years.
