Ion Science Appoints Vice President of Sales & Marketing for U.S Operation

Ion Science (UK) – leading global manufacturer of gas detection instrumentation for occupational health and environmental monitoring – has announced the appointment of Lonnie Anthony as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for its U.S. business.

Lonnie, who will be based at the company’s Texas-based office, brings some 20 years’ sales experience to the Ion Science Inc executive team, 14 of which were spent working within the occupational health and environmental monitoring markets.

Prior to Ion Science Inc, he was Regional Sales Manager at TSI Inc, specialists in scientific precision measurement instrumentation. Earlier roles include International Territory Manager at Moldex-Metric and Safety Sales Specialist at Airgas.

Lonnie comments: “I joined Ion Science Inc because of its excellent customer focused culture and growth potential. As U.S VP of Sales & Marketing, I am responsible for leading and managing the North American sales function. As a global ISO 9001:2008 certified company, Ion Science Inc markets a wide range of technologically advanced gas and leak detection instrumentation, including benzene monitors, mercury analysers, corrosion monitors and VOC detectors incorporating PID sensor technology through selected wholesale distribution. 

He continues: “Our detection instruments are used within a range of industries and applications, with the focus on environmental, petrochemical, chemical, indoor air quality, landfill and confined space entry.  In my new role, I will lead the highly capable North American team in the development and implementation of strategies designed to further increase market share for Ion Science Inc.”
