AccuStandard is pleased to announce the launch of a new product line of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) for the determination of Sulfur content in a new and emerging type of fuel, renewable diesel fuel.

Renewable diesel fuel, also known as sustainable fuel, is a new grade of diesel fuel that is made from vegetable oil (or any biomass feedstock) by a process of hydrogenation. The end product is a fuel composed of different hydrocarbons that meets the criteria of Diesel Fuel per ASTM and EPA.

One of the main characteristics of this type is the ultra-low native sulfur content compared to the conventional diesel fuel. This offers a great analytical advantage by reducing possible native sulfur interferences especially when calibrating using a low sulphur concentration CRM.

AccuStandard SRD-CAL-SET includes 21 CRMs from as low as 5 µg/g Sulphur concentration introduced as n-Butyl Sulphide available to purchase as a SET or individuals for the analysis of sulfur following different ASTM methods such as D2622, D5453, D6334, D6445 and others.
