KIN-TEK Analytical continues to expand its Trace Source™ Permeation Tube offering, regularly adding new compounds to an extensive selection of more than 550 chemicals available for generating accurate, NIST-traceable calibration gas standards. As analytical requirements evolve, KIN-TEK remains committed to providing innovative calibration solutions for analysers, detectors, sensors, and research applications.

Trace Source™ Disposable and Refillable Permeation Tubes enable users to generate reliable gas standards for compounds including sulfurs, VOCs, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), atmospheric gases, moisture, simulants, and specialty chemicals. By continuously expanding its compound offering, KIN-TEK helps laboratories, instrument manufacturers, environmental monitoring organisations, and industrial facilities meet demanding calibration requirements.

Trace Source™ Disposable Permeation Tubes are designed to generate low-concentration gas standards from sub-ppb to ppm levels. Available in multiple configurations, these certified tubes provide stable emission rates and are supplied with NIST-traceable certification for confidence in calibration accuracy and repeatability.

KIN-TEK also offers a family of Trace Source™ Refillable Permeation Tubes, including Liquid Filled (LFH), Gas-Fed (57H/57S), Prefilled Gas (57S/FK), and Diffusion Tube configurations. These devices support compounds ranging from water, formaldehyde, benzene, and sulfur compounds to hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide, arsine, phosphine, and other reactive gases.

Unlike traditional gas cylinders, permeation tubes provide adjustable concentration levels by varying dilution flow rates, allowing a single tube to generate multiple calibration points. Users benefit from superior accuracy based on measurements of weight loss, temperature, and flow, traceable to NIST standards. Additional advantages include lower operating costs, reduced storage requirements, improved safety, and the ability to generate standards for compounds that are unstable or difficult to store in cylinders.

When used with KIN-TEK's automated gas standard generators, including the FlexStream™ Gas Standard Generator, Trace Source™ Permeation Tubes provide accurate, on-demand calibration gas standards. Automated control of temperature and dilution flow delivers stable, repeatable concentrations while reducing reliance on gas cylinders.
