G.R. Scientific (UK) have launched a new way for coulometric Karl Fischer titrator users to check that their coulometer is still giving the correct results. Until now checking the coulometer has only been possible by injecting a few microlitres of distilled water or a known water content standard. Both of these require using expensive microliter syringes and often also require an analytical balance.

By using GR Scientific's recently developed Water Standard Pellets and specially designed Pellet Sampler, it is possible to introduce a known water content standard into the titration vessel without needing to use a syringe.

Simply tear open the foil packet, tip the pellet into the funnel of the Pellet Sampler and then

turn the three way cock to drop the pellet into the titration vessel.

Each box of Aquamax KF Water Standard Pellets contains 15 pellets individually sealed in foil packets. Nominal water content is 1 milligram per pellet and there is a certificate of analysis in each box which states the lot number and actual milligram water content.
