THT MEDOR Exp aim is to propose a solution adapted to specific conditions required in some industries such as Gas Natural plaform. In this sense, Chromatotec (France) is glad to offer you its range of analysers with EXp proof cabinet developed especially for such applications. It is a specific solution for hazardous atmosphere and fulfills the conditions of CSA international Class I, Division 2, group C&D.

THT MEDOR EXp instrument is a solution dedicated to the analysis of TetraHydroThiophene (THT). THT is used in natural gas odorisation process. This analyser is composed with an automatic injection valve, an analytical column and a sulphur specific detector based on liquid-gas reaction. Installed in an explosive proof cabinet, it will be controlled thanks to its remote system. The Vistachrom software will offer you a big range of opportunities, from data display to data storage and re-process of obtained chromatogram. Thanks to its options, the THT MEDOR Exp can pilot an injection valve for odorisation control. When the THT level inside natural gas is too low, the system can pilot the opening of the valve and can close it when the level is too high.

Finally, Chromatotec's American customers created a group to develop a new ASTM method (2009) for online measurement of sulphur compounds in natural gas and gaseous fuels by chromatograph. This method is based on their MEDOR range.
