Bartec Benke are exhibiting at Neftegaz which is taking place in Moscow from 26 – 29 of April. Their instruments will be displayed on the SOCTRADE booth, number 22F30. Bartec Benke are to exhibit their VISC-4 process viscometer at the up-coming exhibition in Moscow.

With markets becoming more price competitive, companies are looking for ways to improve their refining processes and final product blending. One way to achieve this is by using accurate and reliable online viscosity measurement that reduce giveaway and increases the yield of products of higher economic value.

There are many different types of on-line/inline viscometers available on the market that seem to fit this requirement. However, it can be shown that only ASTM D445 compliant systems based on the capillary viscometer principle in conjunction with high temperature stability, allow the most precise process and blending control, which is necessary to maximize revenue. In addition, the data can be directly compared with laboratory results without any need for conversion.

The VISC-4 is based on this ASTM D445 compliant capillary viscometer principle and thanks to Bartec’s unique thermal insulation of the capillary with a Dewar vessel, the VISC-4 shows an unrivalled temperature stability without the need for high maintenance oil bath. The adaptive thermal control with four temperature sensors inside the measuring chamber assures highest confidence in the isothermal condition thus the repeatability (r) requirement of the kinematic viscosity according to ASTM D445 can be easily surpassed by a factor of 10 and more. In addition, the VISC-4 is suitable to handle virtually any possible measuring requirements thanks to its outstanding kinematic viscosity range of up to 1000 cSt at measurement temperatures of up to 100 °C.
