The Teledyne Isco 3700ZR is the only refrigerated sampler that is UL-approved for locations where atmospheres have been designated Class I, Division 1 (or comparable). The design is based on Isco’s field-proven 3700 controller and stainless steel clad sample refrigeration unit. Most programming and control features offered on standard Isco 3700 models are available on the 3700ZR, as are sample container configurations using 1, 2, or 8 bottles (glass or plastic).

The 3700 controller is mounted inside a purge enclosure. Special keypad actuators allow the user to program the sampler without compromising safety. A purge controller monitors and maintains an internal pressure greater than that of the surrounding atmosphere, preventing external gasses from entering the purge enclosure. If internal pressure should drop, power input is immediately cut off to prevent possible danger. Power is automatically resumed once normal operating conditions are restored.
