SENSOR+TEST 2019 is nearly set to go
Apr 25 2019
About two months before the opening, the preparations are well underway for the SENSOR+TEST from 25 to 27 June 2019. At the annual press conference of the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement in Nuremberg, the organiser, Holger Bödeker, had a very positive outlook on this year’s internationally leading trade fair for sensor, measuring, and testing technology.
According to Holger Bödeker, managing director of the organizing AMA Service GmbH, the SENSOR+TEST 2019 is fully on target:
“This year we do not expect quite as many exhibitors as last year because of the parallel ettc – European Test and Telemetry Conference in 2018. It will be held jointly with the SENSOR+TEST as per schedule again in 2020. Moreover, our new trade-fair dates in the last week of June are still not fully planned by all exhibitors. Nevertheless, we are currently counting with about 530 exhibitors from Germany and abroad. Many enterprises and institutes from 30 countries have announced a plethora of innovations.”
The presentations submitted by the exhibitors for the comprehensive program of the SENSOR+TEST still need to be passed by a quality-assurance committee comprising of members of the Council of Elders. “The quality of the submissions for the presentations at the forums has been significantly increased by this measure,” says Holger Bödeker. “The first to profit from this are the visitors to our fair. We can now look forward to a highly attractive program.”
This year’s special topic – Sensor and Measuring Technology for Process Automation – will be in great demand not only at the lectures. The Special Forum is already almost booked out. In great demand as well is the government-funded community stand “Innovation Made in Germany” for young, innovative enterprises. This community stand has now been sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy for the twelfth time and the current stand is already booked to 80%.
Deviating from the usual schedule, the SENSOR+TEST will be accompanied again this year by the 20. GMA/ITG-Fachtagung Sensoren und Messsysteme 2019. The previous AMA conferences, SENSOR and IRS2, will be integrated as of 2020 in the new international technical conference SMSI 2020 – Sensor and Measurement Science International.
