Certified Zone 2 Camera

Ex-Solutions Consulting®, a division of the Pyroban Group® (UK) has recently announced it has engineered and certified Pelco’s Heavy-Duty III/IV Series Camera, enabling it for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas (ATEX).

Pyroban Ex-Solutions were approached as a third party to design, develop and certify the product so it could be used to monitor the daily operations on a coiled tubing unit operating in a Zone 2 exploration and

production hazardous area.

Mark Jackson of Pyroban’s Ex-Solutions explains, “To operate safely in potentially explosive atmospheres, it’s essential that all equipment should be suitably protected and certified to ensure it complies with

legislation such as ATEX 94/9/EC in Europe and NEC 500 and 505 in the US.”
