One of the most dangerous and inconvenient tasks to perform in a laboratory is the filling and emptying of large solvent bottles. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved in refilling, especially for chlorinated solvents with density of 1.4, posing a risk of dropping and breaking them. Added to this, there is also the risk of intoxication by contact and inhalation of vapors.

In order to facilitate laboratory operations, Polymer Char has designed a convenient tool to transfer fresh and waste solvents, such as TCB and DCB, between a filling station and different instruments without coming into direct contact with neither solvents nor vapors. Thanks to the SHT, large volumes of solvent can be transferred in a safe and convenient way around the laboratory. The Trolley’s fresh solvent bottle can be automatically filled with the help of a button to later refill an instrument and also collect waste solvent from that same instrument. It has a large enough capacity that the same operation can be done on several instruments consecutively without dealing with the typical hazards of moving solvents.
