Polymer Char has just published its first post of what is going to be a full blog on everything related to polyolefin characterisation and the analysis of other polymers. The intention behind the blog is to help the small community of analysts, researchers, and chemists, whose jobs involve tackling the challenges of working with high-temperature analytical equipment, which is known for being very complex. Polyolefin characterisation is not the most commonly discussed topic on the internet, and it is hard to find open platforms that address common issues like the daily tasks performed in the laboratory, or the broader topics such as the optimisation of instruments and ultimately, results.

This blog aims to serve as the place of consultation for users looking to find straightforward answers coming from a specialised team that deals with these types of situations every day.

Each topic will be drawn from a pool of frequently asked questions by Polymer Char’s customers, hoping that it will help other polymer analysts gather relevant, first-hand experiences.

The first post shares how it is possible to extend the life of the GPC Columns from 6 to 24 months without compromising chromatographic performance. A must-read for every high-temperature GPC/SEC user!
