Dräger Launches Two Ultra Compact 10-minute Filtering Escape Devices To Enhance Emergency Respiratory Protection Time

Dräger, an international leader in the fields of medical and safety technology, is launching two of its smallest-ever filtering escape devices, the PARAT® 1200 and PARAT® 1260, which both provide 10 minutes effective respiratory protection in emergency environments where air quality has been compromised, enabling potentially life-saving additional escape time.
The ultra-compact, robust and portable escape devices can be held in the palm of a hand, or even fit inside a pocket, and have been designed for tough and hazardous environments, such as those found in chemical, oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial, laboratories and plants where employees are at risk of gas or vapour leaks or chemically polluted environments.
Easy to don, simple to operate, and suitable for people who wear glasses and have beards, both Dräger’s PARAT® 1200 and 1260 models are ultra-low-leakage mouthpiece / nose clip filtering escape devices that can also be carried on a hip belt. Instructions are clearly visible and protected against abrasion or wear and tear.
Equipped with a multi-gas ABEK filter, they provide protection against a variety of toxic industrial gases and vapours, including hydrogen sulphide. These compact lifesavers are approved to the only recognised standard for filtering industrial escape devices (DIN 58647-7).
The PARAT® 1200 provides a maximum of four years of service life1, while the PARAT® 1260 offers six years of maintenance-free operation. The PARAT® 1260 mouthpiece differs in that it is sealed in a robust barrier bag for additional protection, useful if a device is in regular use in tough environments, for example in extreme humidity.
