NBA 450 adds unique ball centring capabilities to ring and ball method of softening point measurement

Ring and ball apparatus, used to calculate a softening point, automatically determine the temperature at which a substance reaches a particular degree of softening. It is used for samples which lack clearly defined melting points, which become softer and less viscous as the temperature increases.

NORMALAB’s NBA 450 with its unique ball centring and dispensing devices is suitable for bitumen, wax, adhesives, resins, polymers, road marking materials and sealants. Equipped with the latest technological advances, the NBA 450 allows you to follow the heating ramp in real time to control the conformity of each test. The detection is provided by an optical system that covers the entire cross section of the beaker, this ensures a very reliable measurement of the falling ball.
