Klay Instruments (the Netherlands) has received the SIL 2 certificate (proven in use) for their pressure and level transmitters Series 8000(SAN), Hydrobar, Series 2000(SAN) and Hydrobar-S and Hydrobar-I. Both the standard Series 8000 and microprocessor based Series 2000 are all stainless transmitters available with a large variety of process connections.

Demands for functional safety of process installations are increasing. Instrumentation is an important link in the control of these installations. SIL means Safety Integrity Level. It is based on two IEC standards. Aim is to create functional safety for a better control of the risks. The safety level is being expressed in levels SIL1 up to SIL4.

With this certification, the rugged all stainless steel transmitters from Klay Instruments are now even more suitable for applications in the oil & gas industry.
