Hanover to Host World?s Paramount Industry Event Including 13 Flagship Trade Fairs from 20 ? 24 April 2009
Jan 11 2009
The preparations for Hannover Messe 2009 are already in full swing. The entire exhibition grounds will be completely booked out for the event. In 2009 the world’s most important technology showcase brings together 13 international flagship trade fairs under one roof. Eagerly awaited for 2009 are three old favourites – MDA - Motion, Drive & Automation, SurfaceTechnology and ComVac, all of which take place once every two years – plus the brand-new trade fair Wind, staged in response to the enormous interest from trade visitors in wind energy.
Hannover Messe 2009 has its sights set firmly on the future. The ideas and solutions on show at the 13 flagship shows that make up Hannover Messe will combine to create a unique platform for innovation. Key issues in 2009 will be automation, energy, mobility, outsourcing, and talented young human resources. The overarching theme will be energy efficiency in industrial processes. From 20 to 24 April 2009 all the major industrial sectors will be showcasing their products and processes. Hannover Messe will function as the trendsetter for all areas of application. The 2009 Partner Country will be the Republic of Korea, one of the world’s 15 leading industrial nations. The high number of registrations indicates that the thematic mix of Hannover Messe is exactly right. It is already clear that the entire Exhibition Grounds will be fully booked. Hannover Messe 2009 will be officially opened by Chancellor Angela Merkel on the evening of 19 April.
The Hannover Messe portfolio comprises Interkama+, Factory Automation, Industrial Building Automation, Digital Factory, Subcontracting, Energy, Power Plant Technology, Micro Technology and Research & Technology. In 2009 these annual events will be augmented by Motion, Drive & Automation, Surface Technology and ComVac, which are staged at two-yearly intervals. The wind power industry has responded very favourably to the creation of “Wind”, which will also take place every two years. The premiere of this new wind energy show will profit from the fact that power transmission exhibitors will be located right next door.Indeed, all the exhibitors in Hall 27 will be able to capitalize on the wide-ranging synergies between Energy, Wind, Power Plant Technology and Motion, Drive & Automation.
Interkama+, the leading trade fair for process automation, is not a stand-alone event but part of Hannover Messe that delivers huge benefits for visitors and exhibitors alike. Together with Factory Automation and Industrial
Building Automation it makes up a triad of allied trade fairs staged under the collective branding “Industrial Automation”. This generates multiple points of contact between all the different disciplines that play a part in
automation technology. One of the highlights of the supporting program for Interkama+ next year will be the World User Club, which takes as its theme "Operational Excellence". An exclusive lounge is available for the use
of decision-makers and end users from the process industry: here they can get down to serious discussions about the latest technologies and methods.
Back on the program again next year is “Wireless Automation”, a dedicated display area for wireless communications technology, where the discussions about the WirelessHART standard that were initiated in 2008
will be continued and broadened. Another key attraction is Speaker’s Corner, where exhibitors will present their talks on current trends to an audience of interested professionals, and industry users will describe their
experiences with various applications.
