ASDevices (ASD) is at the forefront of hydrogen purity analysis, a technology used for powering hydrogen vehicles as well as the green economy. ASDevices’ solutions and expertise enable operators to detect impurities that could damage fuel cells and hydrogen distribution pipelines. The firm, based in Canada reached a significant landmark in its when it was chosen by a highly reputable petrochemical company to supply the analytical system for Beijing’s 2022 Winter Olympic Games. Following on from 4 years of R&D and investments, that project set the ball rolling for ASDevices to deliver its technologies to multiple analytical systems across the entire world. ASDevices partners with several prestigious research institutes and laboratories including National Physics Laboratory, China Hydrogen Alliance, SIMT, CNPC, and IHR-UQTR to help them develop new standards and solutions for hydrogen purity.

The robust and precise ASD solution was developed with the end user in mind too; it can measure permanent gases as well as trace sulphurs within one single analysis instrument. Moreover, the ASD solution is unique as it is the only one that needs no sample pre-concentration to achieve the required 4 ppb H2S (hydrogen sulphide) limit of detection, because of its patented high-sensitivity (< 0.5 ppb LoD) GC-enhanced plasma detector (Epd). The accuracy and detection limit has been demonstrated with ASD’s innovative and proprietary iGCS high-performance dilution system. Many renowned companies have selected ASD’s hydrogen quality analysis solution for its robustness, high sensitivity, accuracy, and ease of use, for all required measurements such as sulphur, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, methane, carbon dioxide and non-methane hydrocarbons.
