Ametek Process Instruments (USA) have introduced the Model 5100-NCM Analyser –a tunable diode laser system that directly measures water vapour concentration in natural gas.

The Model 5100- NCM offers natural gas producers, pipeline operators and service companies with a highly reliable and cost-effective method for quickly and accurately measuring moisture in natural gas. The 5100-NCM has a limit of detection of 5PPMV and an operating range of 5 to 2500 PPMV. It is accurate to less than 2% of reading or +/- 4PPMV, whichever is greater.

The laser-based analyser features compact, fully enclosed optics and sample conditioning, on-board moisture verification, and all digital signal processing. The rugged, compact unit is available in an IP-65 and NEMA 4 enclosure with both MODBUS and Ethernet analogue and digital connectivity.
