Sira Secures major Compliance Contract with Premier Oil plc

Sira Consulting (UK), a CSA International company, has been awarded a major contract to provide Premier Oil plc with a comprehensive range of compliance services with respect to ATEX 137 (Worker Protection Directive) & DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations.)

Premier Oil plc (LSE: PMO) is a leading independent oil and gas company with production interests in the North Sea, Indonesia, Mauritania, Pakistan and Vietnam.

As part of its compliance procedures, Premier identified that a review of the hazardous area drawings for Balmoral FPV (Floating Production Vessel) was necessary, with a competent third party organization required to assist Premier with its responsibilities under ATEX 137 / DSEAR.

Sira Consulting, specialists in Hazardous Area Compliance services, was awarded the contract. The contract scope is to analyse and classify the platform and to prepare a report and updated drawings that will enable the proper selection and installation of equipment to be used safely in that environment. The contract is anticipated to take 16 weeks commencing Jan 2012.
