CANNON Instrument Company (USA), a premier supplier of viscosity measurement instrumentation and certified reference standards, recently acquired substantially all of the IP assets and business operations of U.K-based Ravenfield Designs Ltd. Ravenfield is a primary manufacturer of rotational viscometers for the European oil industry, specialising in the design and manufacture of highly integrated, custom laboratory and industrial scientific systems.

Key Ravenfield products include high temperature-high shear viscometers for lubricants meeting SAE J300 and an ultra-high temperature measurement system for liquid glasses, metals and slags with a test range up to 1,750 °C. The Ravenfield products will now be manufactured, sold and supported by CANNON Instrument Company under the name “Ravenfield by CANNON”.  Steven M. Taylor, Ravenfield’s Managing Director, commented “I am delighted with the acquisition of Ravenfield Designs Ltd. by CANNON Instrument Company. Our customers benefit immediately from the support of CANNON’s world-class and world-wide sales and service teams. Meanwhile, the strength of CANNON’s engineering talent ensures that my father’s designs, which he worked on up to his recent death, are completed with the level of quality that would make him proud.”

U.S. sales and support for the Ravenfield products will be provided by CANNON’s U.S. office at [email protected], 800-676-6232 or 814-353-8000.  European sales and support will be provided by long-standing CANNON dealer Zematra B.V. at [email protected] or +31-(0)164-687770.
