The Measurement Systems division of Cameron (UK) has achieved ATEX / IECEx-certification on an expansion board option for the popular Scanner 2000 microEFM. ATEX certification on this option allows oil and gas customers in the European Union countries requiring or specifying this certification the opportunity to take advantage of the full range of benefits inherent in this ultra low power, easy to use flow computer.

With the 2007 launch of the Scanner 2000 microEFM, Cameron introduced the market to an economical solution for a broad base of measurement challenges. Today, the Scanner 2000 is in operation around the world in coal bed methane, steam, and many traditional chart recorder, differential pressure and turbine meter flow metering applications. The expansion board option, which was introduced in late 2007, allowed for even greater versatility by boosting the unit’s memory and input/output ranges.

Scanner 2000 with Expansion Board features an integral multi variable transmitter, a process temperature input, 2 turbine meter inputs or 1 pulse input, 2 analogue inputs, a configurable digital output, a configurable analogue output, expanded interval logs - 6392 with expansion board (over 8 months of 1-hour intervals).

The Scanner 2000 has been adopted by many customers for upstream and downstream oil and gas industry applications across the world. The product provides benefits that customers in industrial and processing industries will also fully appreciate: Rugged durability, ease of configuration and set up, standalone battery powered option or conventional DC loop powered convenience, data logging and a variety of communication capabilities . The device provides complete flow metering solutions when coupled with either our PED approved Differential Pressure Cone Meter or Turbine Meter products. For applications which do not require PED approved products we can also offer from Cameron’s range of orifice fittings. The Scanner 2000 can also be used with many other widely available differential pressure devices
