The PMA 5 Pensky-Martens flash point tester from Anton Paar (Austria) is the standardised solution for potentially flammable liquids with an expected flash point in the range from 40 °C to 400 °C.

For maximum safety, the instrument comes with an integrated fire-extinguishing device that can be automatically controlled or released manually. Flames that might occur outside the cup are extinguished by nitrogen or carbon dioxide gas.

Preset test routines, individually set modes, a large memory capacity and a multi-function head for easy one-hand connection of all sensors and actuators simplify the procedure and reduce the time interval between two consecutive flash point tests to a minimum.

As a unique feature of the PMA 5, a dynamic calibration routine of the sample measuring probe Pt100 is already included.
