The Cleveland Open Cup Flash Point Tester CLA 4 from Petrotest, (Germany), is a fully automatic flash and fire point tester of liquid as well as highly viscous samples in accordance to ASTM D92 or equivalent methods. The system is easy to handle thanks to its automated operation with an automatic barometric pressure correction, resulting in maximum accuracy and repeatability and increasing laboratory productivity.
The CLA 4 features a multifunctional arm that simultaneously carries
the igniter, flashpoint detector, skimmer and temperature probe and is
fully adjustable. The CLA 4 contains an intelligent gas igniter to combine the advantages of the gas ignition method with those of an electric igniter. The gas flame is used as specified in the standards. A flame extinction is detected by a sensor resulting in an instant relighting by the electric igniter.
The CLA 4 offers a PC software with many advantages. All results are
displayed and stored. Test data are stored in combination with all program and device parameters with all program and device parameters in a result file that can be opened independent of the program. Programs can be edited and stored as user programs. There are various export options (export to Excel and to a graphics file). Using the multi device management which is comfortably displayed in one window only, every device can be named individually. In addition to its USB connection, the CLA 4 can be connected to a LAN with a specific adapter.
