Scavini’s new foaming test equipment, which complies to ASTM D892, IP 146 and ISO 6247, makes the test easier thanks to the use of mass flow controllers that replace the common variable area flowmeters used in the great majority of instruments.

It is now possible to precisely dose 470 ml of air in 5 minutes by simply pressing a push button on the control panel or, on versions with touch screen interface, by touching a button on the screen.

Precision mass flow controllers enable maintaining a constant flow throughout the test whilst cutting off air supply once the test time has elapsed.

Three models are available: one single-bath unit and two twin units, one with an aluminum control panel and pushbuttons, knobs and displays and one with a touch-screen interface and the option to record test data.

All versions are equipped with electronic thermo-regulators with PID action and 0,1°C accuracy, Pt100 for temperature detection and independent safety devices against overheating and low level in the jars. Another safety device protects the mass flow controllers in the case of low pressure that causes valve override and over-heating of the device.

Electric stirrers enable operators to maintain a uniform temperature throughout the jar while stainless steel coils with hose connectors allow users to circulate cooling water in the 24°C bath, a second coil can be used in sequence to cool down the air exiting the 93.5°C bath before measuring its volume.

High-temperature baths are surrounded by a protective transparent shield to avoid unwanted contacts with hot parts.

Scavini also supplies graduated Pyrex cylinders, stoppers and air diffusers with or without certificate: a diffuser calibration device is also available.

Scavini can also supply high-temperature foaming test equipment in compliance  to ASTM D 6082, water separability equipment according to ASTM D1401 and demulsibility equipment according to ASTM D271
