Working with Orbis (Netherlands) and its customised PAM (Precision Automated Distillation Apparatus) distillation guarantees that every person in the lab will work with reliable instruments for analysing petrochemical products. A programmable self contained distillation unit featuring digital process control and automated data collection. A number of distillation programs, comprising temperature/time profiles and volume set points, can be stored in the on-board memory. The programs can be created or modified during use via a ‘learn’ feature. Its suitable for many test methods (ASTM D86, D1078/D850, IP123, IP195, EN ISO 3405 and many more) and fuels like: Natural, motor and aviation gasolines, kerosene, naphtha’s, gas oils, white sprites and distilled oils fuels.

There are several advantages in using the customised PAM distillation system, such as Non liquid Peltier cooling (usable at every temperature and easily moveable) and customising the PAM in a way you require. Of course it can be fully integrated to your LIMS.

Orbis’ manual self contained distillation unit features a digital heater control, Orbis MOP Distillation is suitable to be connected to Orbis Digistill for automate data collection and heater control. The Orbis Digistill D86 controller is a bench top unit designed for automated reading of atmospheric distillation data from a manual distillation instrument in accordance with ASTM D86 and equivalent methods.

Proper service and calibration requires specially qualified personnel with particular knowledge of the individual instruments. Orbis’ services includes technical consultation, preventative maintenance contracts, equipment qualification, on-site service, installation, calibration, user training and certified service engineers trained by our partners according to VCA.
