GC-TOF with Dedicated FD/FI Source

This new GC-TOF system JMS-T100GCv provides multiple capabilities in a single instrument. The high-end TOF MS system combines high resolution and high dynamic range with a variety of different ion sources.

The FD/FI method is a very interesting method for checking molecular weights via soft ionisation. The standard EI/CI source can be exchanged with a dedicated FD/FI source, to perform standard FD work for non-volatile

compounds or FI work in combination with a GC column.

No need to change anything when switching from FD to FI, since the GC-capillary is already in place.

This combination source is extremely interesting in the field of petro-chemistry (crude oils etc) and in the field of polymers for average molecular weight measurements. JEOL Europe.
