Multi-dimensional gas chromatography is the technique of choice for hydrocarbon-group type analysis, measuring paraffins, iso-paraffins, napthenes, olefins, aromatics and oxygenated compounds. Bruker’s (USA) PIONA+ Analyser features recent developments in thermal management techniques, meaning that hardware problems are now a thing of the past. The liner trap concept is easy to use and replacement of columns requires no tools - with only finger tight connections required. This reduces replacement costs and instrument down time, allowing the analyser to perform complete analyses time and time again.
