A new white paper from Bruker Chemical & Applied Markets (CAM Division, USA) outlines how the CompassCDS IntelliUpdate feature can be used to automatically correct both retention time and timed events on chromatograms following instrumental variation over time. Committed to providing the gas chromatographic (GC) community with communications and expert resources, Bruker CAM has made the white paper freely available at www.globalenergytesting.com and www.pionaplus.com.

‘Automating Retention Time and Timed Event Updating using the CompassCDS IntelliUpdate Function’ by Graham Shelver Ph.D., Bruker CAM, Fremont CA, describes how chromatographic column ageing, as well as other instrumental and chemical effects, can cause peak retention times to vary over time from the original values set in a method. The CompassCDS IntelliUpdate feature can be used to automatically correct chromatograms where such deviations occur.

The IntelliUpdate feature is an extension of CompassCDS, the software platform of choice for GC system operation, data processing and report generation. Available from Bruker CAM, further information on this powerful interface can be found at; www.PIONAplus.com
