The problem of scarcity of fossil fuels is highly topical. The global consumption is continuously growing, in near future the remaining resources will be exhausted. To avoid this critical situation, new clean technologies are strongly needed in order to produce green fuels. Therefore the use of renewable raw materials is of particular importance.

Biodiesel is a promising alternative to common fuels due to the easy availability of suitable feed materials (e.g. soybeans, used edible oil, and different kinds of crops such as flax, mustard or sunflower). But also other biogenic materials like wastes of the wood processing industry offer interesting possibilities (crude tall oil) for further use.

multi EA 5000, from Analytik Jena (Germany), meets the requirements of these current developments. It provides safe and precise analysis of the nitrogen, sulphur, chlorine and carbon contents, fully-automated in just one single analysis cycle! Origin and composition of the biodiesel do not affect analysis quality.
