New ICP-OES Devices from Analytik Jena: The PlasmaQuant 9200 Series
The PlasmaQuant 9200 series is Analytik Jena’s new cutting-edge optical emission spectrometer designed for laboratories that demand maximum precision, sensitivity, and operational simplicity. Whether used in high-end research or everyday quality control, this ICP-OES system sets new standards in analytical performance, space efficiency, and user-friendliness.
Analytical Excellence
The PlasmaQuant 9200 combines market-leading spectral resolution and unmatched matrix tolerance to deliver results that meet the highest analytical standards. With a resolution of 2 pm @ 200 nm and access to over 43,000 emission lines across an 160 to 900 nm range, it ensures interference-free spectra and robust trace element analysis, even in complex matrices. The advanced optical system, with its encapsulated echelle spectrometer and high-resolution CCD detector, guarantees high sensitivity and reliable detection. Automatic neon correction delivers wavelength accuracy better than 0.4 pm without time-consuming calibration – with full system readiness in under 10 minutes.
Space-Saving Powerhouse
Despite its performance, the PlasmaQuant 9200 is remarkably compact. At just 60 cm wide, it has one of the smallest footprints on the ICP-OES market – more than 40 % smaller than its predecessor models. The system features a powerful 27 MHz RF generator with a plasma power range from 700 to 1,700 W, ensuring stable plasma conditions even for demanding matrices like brines, metal concentrates, or volatile organics. Quick boot-up time in under 10 minutes means reduced downtime and increased sample throughput.
Simply Reliable
Effortless handling and a plug-and-play modular design make the PlasmaQuant 9200 extremely easy to operate. The V Shuttle Torch simplifies torch exchange and reduces maintenance while ensuring precise analysis of matrix-rich samples with minimal background. Dual View PLUS enables both axial and radial plasma observation for each emission line, offering a broad dynamic range from sub-ppb to percent concentrations – all in a single run. Integrated counter-gas technology enhances sensitivity and eliminates interference from the cooler plasma tail.
Unmatched Flexibility
Tailor the instrument to your needs with a modular torch system that supports various materials based on your sample types. Automatic signal attenuation, strong analytical performance, and high uptime make this system ideal for routine and complex applications alike. Customized service contracts further ensure long-term reliability and application safety.
Smart Software – ASpect PQ
The updated ASpect PQ software controls, monitors, and documents all analytical processes with precision and ease. Its modular structure supports both routine and customized methods, while automation features such as Automatic Baseline Correction (ABC) and Correction for Spectral Interferences (CSI) improve data quality and boost lab productivity. ASpect PQ also supports 21 CFR Part 11 compliance with detailed audit trails, user rights management, and electronic signatures. Seamless LIMS integration and a multilingual interface make method setup and data transfer simple and efficient.
