Sofraser (France) improves the field of application of its MIVI process viscometer. Used by all process industries since 30 years, MIVI sensor combines experience and continuously updated features. Up to now MIVI sensors were regularly used in process conditions up to 300°C and 150 bar for continuous and long time measurements of products from less than 2 mPa.s and up to 1.000.000 mPa.s.

In order to face more and more drastic requirements, Sofraser is proposing its new high temperature and high pressure MIVI sensor working up to 300°C and 500 Bar. Owing to the incredible small size of the vibrating rod, the active immersed part, the sensor can be used on very small internal volume measuring chambers (less than 15 ml). This is one of the main advantages for small batches and lab scale experiments that are handling expensive samples.   Versatility is another advantage and the same sensor model is also suitable for process installations and can be mounted either in-line, either on-line or on reactor. Available with Exproof ATEX agreement for use in explosive area and with Hastelloyâ wetted parts for corrosive products the sensor suits for most of the industrial environments even the more severe ones. Owing to the resonant vibration working principle, patented by Sofraser 30 years ago, reliability of the measurements and no maintenance are two major advantages of this product.
