Cannon Instrument Company (USA) is excited to announce the release of a quick fullyautomatic viscometer, the miniQV-X. The new instrument stands just over 20 inches tall and has a removable 25 position rotary auto sampler. Occupying roughly the same footprint as a tabletop rotational viscometer, the miniQV-X automates the time-consuming sample measurement and viscometer tube wash/dry procedures associated with the ASTM D445 method.

Operation of the miniQV-X is simple and quick with typical sample-to-sample cycle times of less than three minutes. This instrument has been developed for the used oil analysis market and offers customers an alternative to slower but fully compliant ASTM D445 instruments manufactured by Cannon.
