New SLFA-60 portable sulfur analyzer allows spot sampling and continuous monitoring analysis

Palaiseau, France, August 8th, 2017 – HORIBA Scientific introduces the new standard of Sulfur in oil analyser, the SLFA-60.

Less than 10kg, Compact, Robust and Safe, the SLFA-60 features excellent detection limit (down to 20 ppm) and is the ideal tool to rigorously monitor that fuels used in the ships follow the international regulation and contain no more than 0.1% S.

Sulphur inspections in marine fuels are not only done at specific ports but should be constantly monitored on board to prevent mixing with contaminated or high sulphur oils and ascertain the vessels’ compliance with sulphur requirements.

The special sample cell of the SLFA-60 assures leak free analysis.

The analysis principle is Energy Dispersive X Ray analysis (EDXRF) and the SLFA-60 complies with ASTM D4294, ISO 8754 and JISK2441/B7995 standards.
